METRO stands for Master of established transport railway operators and is a simple structured and minimalist designed train simulator. It's written in JAVA using the LibGdx framework for all the graphic and rendering stuff.
In the game you can build and buy tracks, lines, trains and stations along the grid of the world of METRO. Not every part of the world is equally profitable, because every part is different profitable and you have to find the Optimum.

I started this project in the end of February 2015 Â to practically implement software architecture things like pattern or get to know what a bad smell can do to the project (before that I only learned these things mainly in theory). I also wanted to work on a bigger project for a longer period of time which is a good exercise I think.
I also realized that there's no good 2D Train simulator except Mini-Metro or OpenTTD (which is not directly 2D and the thing I want to develop), so now I create my own game 😉

I'm a student at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and study computer-science there. My hobbies are programming (and nearly everything concerning IT and computer :D), design things (sometimes I do things in blender or photoshop), playing the piano and photography.
I also have a blog about IT security, privacy, and things like that: https://curi0sity.de
